BC AMBULANCE SERVICE (not part of the NIHB program)

BC Ambulance services are available to all B.C. residents. When you receive a bill in the mail, it is because the BC Ambulance service does not have on record your status card number, and they do not determine at the time of pickup whom is or is not a band member.

Ambulance fees are not covered by the Medical Services Plan of BC; however, they may be covered by other third parties, such as Worker’s Compensation, acute care hospital, Veteran’s Affairs, ICBC or private insurance companies. If applicable, users of ambulance services must contact the agency to arrange for payment.
